Belvo updates recurrent links based on their indicated refresh_rate:
6 hrs
12 hrs
24 hrs
weekly (7d)
monthly (30d)
For monthly links, Belvo ensures that the information from a link is updated once every month.
On what day will a monthly recurrent link be updated?
Belvo distributes monthly recurrent link updates between day 1 and day 20 of the month to maximize link success rate. Links are not scheduled to be updated after the 20th of the month to reserve some time for potential re-tries. However, the grand majority of your monthly recurrent links will be updated by day 20 of the month.
The refresh date for each monthly recurrent link is initially assigned randomly between the 1st and the 20th of the month. If the following link updates are successful then the subsequent refreshes for this link will occur on the same day each month.
What if a refresh is unsuccessful?
If for any reason a link update was not successful, an automatic re-try policy ensures the links are reattempted up to 6 times in the following days. If a link is successfully updated before or by the 20th, this will be its new refresh date for the following months. If a link is successfully updated after the 20th, then it will be randomly assigned a new refresh date between the 1st and the 20th of the month.
What if a link could not be successfully updated after 6 attempts?
If a link cannot be updated successfully after 6 attempts it is rescheduled to be updated the following month and randomly assigned a refresh date between the 1st and the 20th of the month.
🗒️ Note: For these reasons, you can expect your distributed traffic to be during days 1 - 20, and a significant decline in activity after day 20.
