As there are many integrations working together, errors may occur when attempting to create a new link via the OFDA authentication widget and flow.
Often these errors are temporary or edge cases related to one variable in the flow and can be solved by retrying or making a small change.
We recommend that the consent holder attempt the following:
Many issues are temporary
> Retry consent and link creation
❌ Close all windows
❌ Close the app being used to create a new consent and link
↪ Reattempt the flow from the beginning
Avoid Incognito or Private Mode
> Exit incognito mode: We do not recommend activating incognito mode while following the widget flow as some integrations may depend on the browser's cache to work.
🏁 Ensure your browser default is not set to incognito
↪ Reattempt the flow from the beginning
Compatibility issues can exist with a certain browser or browser version
> Update the browser
🟢 Ensure that the browser is updated with the most recent version
↪ Reattempt the flow from the beginning
>Change browsers
If possible, switch to a different major browser: Chrome or Safari are recommended
↪ Reattempt the flow from the beginning
Compatibility issues can exist with a certain device or device version
>Change the device
💻📲 If using a mobile device attempt on a computer or vice versa
↪ Reattempt the flow from the beginning
❗️Note: The majority of issues during OFDA consent and link creation or redirection are caused by edge case environmental errors. If you receive an error or unexpected behavior, the fastest solution is generally to retry or retry in a new environment.
